The Indian handset maker known for manufacturing affordable handsets, Micromax, has launched its latest budget smartphone to its Bolt series. Owing to stiff competition in the market and ever increasing demand, Micromax has launched this phone which sports a 4.5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The display is decent for a phone of this price. The phone is powered by a single-core 1GHz Spreadtrum SC7710G processor and 512MB RAM (compared to Karbonn A9+ and Lava Iris 405 which have dual core processors at a similar price range).
In the camera department, the device has a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front facing VGA camera as well for skype and video calling (this sounds average as compared to Lava Iris 405 which has a 5-megapixel rear camera).
The device runs on Android v4.1 Jelly Bean. It is a dual-sim phone which supports 3G as well. The internal memory is a measly 512MB, out of which only 165MB is available to the user. However, it can be expanded to 32GB using the memory card slot. The phone has WiFi and Bluetooth. On the battery front, it has a 1500mAh battery that can power 116 hours of standby time. (The battery is larger than Lava Iris 405).
