The Canvas Elanza 2 A121 is the successor to Elanza A93. Micromax has boasted the successor with some necessary improvements to match-up with the current lot of affordable smartphones.

First up, the device now sports a 5-inch 720p display (293.7PPI) as compared to the older model which only came with a standard qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display. The processor has also been upgraded from a dual-core to a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, while RAM remains the same at 1GB. The rear camera is now a 8-megapixel auto-focus snapper, offering 720p HD video recording and LED Flash. The front camera gets upgraded to a 2-megapixel camera as compared to the older VGA camera.

The device will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Micromax hasn’t announced any update to Android 4.4 KitKat yet. The battery is a removable 2000 mAh unit and internal storage tops at 4GB with an option to expand to 32GB via a microSD card. It comes preloaded with apps like Bounce Ball Classic, Bubble x slice, Kingsoft, Getit, Opera Mini, M! Live, Reverie phonebook and Reverie Smartpad.
