Nokia Asha 305 is yet another low cost Dual SIM phone to launch in India. Nokia is sweetening the deal in the sub Rs. 5000 market with a full touchscreen device. The 3-inch screen is unfortunately resistive type, and has a resolution of QVGA (240x320 pixels) and the battery is rated at 1110 mAh. Powered by the good old Series 40 that is adapted for touchscreen operation (with design cues taken from Nokia's failed Meego OS), Nokia hopes to give competition to the likes of Micromax and Maxx Mobile.
Even though this handset isn't a smartphone, there's a Nokia Store that allows installing Java based apps. There's a Nokia Maps app as well. Asha 305 misses out on 3G and WiFi connectivity but gets full marks for its looks and design. There's a microSD card slot to expand memory and even a 2GB card complimentary in the box.
