The Micromax Canvas Turbo is the first handset the Indian phone maker has launched after signing up with Hollywood superstar Hugh Jackman as Micromax's brand ambassador. The first and foremost difference between the Turbo and the Canvas 4 is the display resolution — while both have the same 5-inch size, the Canvas Turbo has a higher 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It has also received a speed bump with a faster 1.5GHz quad-core Mediatek chip with double the RAM (now 2GB). It has the same 16GB internal memory out of which about 10GB is available to the user. But surprisingly, there isn’t a microSD card slot to expand it further.

The camera department is mostly untouched — the same 13 megapixel rear-facing and 5 megapixel front-facing sensors are put on the Turbo. There’s the same 2000 mAh battery as well; which can be a concern considering the higher density display and the faster internals. It runs Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean with Micromax’s features like Blow-to-unlock and others we’ve seen in handsets like the Canvas 4.
